We welcome you to First Baptist Church today as we worship a Living Lord who gave us the Great Commission to go into all the world.  We are delighted that you have chosen to worship with us today.

 

Everyone is invited to attend a complimentary luncheon following worship today as we hear about our exciting Mission Trip Plans.  Today you can SIGN UP to volunteer to be a part of our Mission Trip here in Alliance.  An offering will be received that will help underwrite our expenses such as paint, etc.

 

We express our Christian Sympathy to Jon Howell in the death of his father, Blaine.

 

We express our Christian Sympathy to Shirley Cunningham in the death of her husband, Stanley.  Funeral services were held on Thursday.  May God's comforting arms surround you and give you peace.

Applications for the REVEREND JOHN E. MIKAN Scholarship are now available in both the church office and through the Scholarship committee (see Marty Daniels).  Any student who is a member of the church and is enrolling or is currently enrolled in a post-secondary educational program (vocational or collegiate) may apply.  Students from previous years may re-apply.  Applications must be completed and returned by May 15th to the church office.  This year multiple scholarships may be awarded, with a total of $1500 to be distributed.  Recipients will be announced on

June 8, 2008, which is Graduation Recognition Sunday.
